Young folk is an indie-folk band based out of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. Influenced by modern folk heroes Bon Iver, the tallest man on earth, and feist.
A collection of musicians from varying backgrounds, Young Folk is it's own blend. Trained in Jazz and classical, but with an ear for Folk music. They aim to bring out the beautiful subtleties in music that gets left behind far too often by new bands.
Kailey Bradco's soft, quirky, and fresh vocals will make any listener pay attention. While cellist Andrea Rocha and bassist John Baron provide a deep, powerful string section that adds to the bands unique sound. Drummer Cody Iwasiuk holds the band together with his heavy sense of groove and guitarist Darren Hebner crafts the harmonic foundation of the music.
